My wife has created a beautiful garden which we both enjoy, so I appreciate the importance of connecting with nature, amongst doing battle with the dark forces that have come against us. We like to escape to different places when the chance arises. We rode horses on the Mongolian steppes, which gave us a start on less typical holidays. You have to remain centred and not take it all too seriously at one level, or at least not become cynical. My catch cry is sceptical optimism.
I remain hopeful that good people speaking the truth is having sufficient impact to turn the tide. We only need about 3% according to the change management literature.

I also love Melanie Phillips. You have absolutely pinpointed every concern that I have about the spread of political Islam, and how our society has been effectively disabled and cannot deal with it.
I sincerely think we will lose because of the cultural taboo created by the category error of lumping "religion" in with "race". We don't discriminate on genetic characteristics you can't control for obvious reasons. But religion is a set of ideas that can be silly and people can change their minds - it should never be given the same set of protections as race. We should always be free to criticise, mock, lampoon and refuse to take the silliness seriously.
For some reason I've never been in Spectator. The wonderful Quandrant, yes. You will like that also, it has an amazing editor. She is force of nature and highly intelligent. To be honest just now I am trying to finish a book on covid, and today I am being distracted as I attempt to graft frangipannis. As soon as I finish my book I will send a pitch to Rowan Dean. I wonder if he will let me in the august pages of his Spectator...
I did used to read Quadrant and when Robert Clancy was really on fire about the dicrediting of ivermectin, early on in the 'pandemic'. I had no idea Rebecca Weisser was the editor now though. She is a great writer. I had some direct contact with her when I colleague and I were helping a Lutheran school oppose vaccine mandates and she ended up including reference to the story in one of her articles.
That is fantastic that you are working on a book. I have read almost everything published on Covid and each author has added new shades of meaning and depths of criticism from their own time and place. Good on you, what an undertaking.

I ran out of steam after the first few though. And other documentaries came out that were very much more professional than my home made efforts.
My wife has created a beautiful garden which we both enjoy, so I appreciate the importance of connecting with nature, amongst doing battle with the dark forces that have come against us. We like to escape to different places when the chance arises. We rode horses on the Mongolian steppes, which gave us a start on less typical holidays. You have to remain centred and not take it all too seriously at one level, or at least not become cynical. My catch cry is sceptical optimism.
I remain hopeful that good people speaking the truth is having sufficient impact to turn the tide. We only need about 3% according to the change management literature.

The recently published 'Covid 19: Psychological operations and the war for technocracy' by David Hughes is the most stunning big picture analysis, which goes really deep and wide. I expect you'd love it....once you've finished your contribution to the grand effort.
